What is my Credit Score?
Your Credit Score is a number between 350 and 900 that creditors, employers, insurance companies, customers, vendors even dating services use to "evaluate" you.

Your Credit Score is not your DNA. It is not your SAT Score. You are not born with a credit score. Income and employment history are not major factors.

You can control your credit score once you understand how it works and how important it is to you.

Your credit score is determined by a proprietary algorithm created by the three Credit Reporting Agencies (CRAs). While the specific formulas and weights are kept confidential, the factors affecting the score are known.

The conditions for Credit Score Growth are:

• No outstanding negative entries
• No new negative entries in previous six months
• No late payments in last six months
• Open credit available i.e. balances are not "maxed out"
• Few credit applications or report inquiries in previous six months
